18/04 - Week 15

 Monday:

Today we were separated from the girls in our class by Tom in order to get a particular understanding for the male and female roles in the current play were researching - Little Women. I found the exercise eye opening and i enjoyed the talk we had with Tom at the end, it felt good to be in a room where no judgement was had! I am very excited to start working on Little Women and am thinking about auditioning between Laurie or Brook.

Tuesday:

On Tuesday we were shown our little women scripts! I enjoyed looking over our possible roles and I finally decided that I’m going to go for the role of Theodore Laurence! I’m thinking about giving the character my own spin and add some flair to him with certain scenes!

Wednesday:

Today we were in the theatre as usual on a Wednesday! We practiced accents for both lessons for our upcoming show of Little Women! I had so much fun trying out accents with everyone and it was very good to see everyone’s skill level! I learned some new things and ways to pronounce certain words and will continue to work on my American accent until it’s perfect!

Thursday:

Today we ran through a few scenes from The Last Resort! Another play that we’re performing alongside Little women! Although I don’t want to be a part of this play, I still had fun running through it, and gave my all performing as characters such as donkeys and seagulls! Me and my group came together to try and make the class laugh, as the point of these characters were to be funny, and with our own interpretations, we gave our all! It was very fun and showed me where I was with my old fashioned accents!
