Audition - Zafer | OT

Weirdly, I was more nervous for this audition than I had been for any other character I had portrayed at the time being. I believe this was due to the importance I had put onto myself for the connections project! It would be a dream to perform on the stage of the National Theatre!! 

This will certainly be a very different character than any other I have given myself to as of yet, the combination of emotions that run through Zafer as a character are extremely complex due to his conditions, such as his situation with his family as well as his illness. It will certainly be a challenge for me to try and convey these emotions when I myself do not know how it feels to “give up on life” due to an incurable illness. However, I will not let this deter me and have done extensive research to make sure I am educated as can be on the effect things like this can have on everyone involved. 

I am so proud that I was able to secure the character! There were so many other performers that I could see were amazing and could play the character perfectly, but I will certainly give my all for every aspect of the character and show Kelly she made the right choice!! One step closer to the National Theatre stage, now I just need to make sure I’m the best I can possibly be!
