Year 2 - Term 1: Production Diary

Today we performed in stage combat!! I learned a bit of it last year, but it was fun seeing everyone learn their own version and come up with stories to incorporate it!

During toms lesson, we went off and continued our monologue practice, remembering them as best we could before standing up and performing them, we each got notes that reflected our performance, i will certainly be revisiting my monologue to add changes and make it more realistic.

Audition day!! Today was challenging for me, i found it hard to incorporate a character that was unknown by everything but status, though from the stories he didnt really stick to his social class either. I thought Jack the Ripper would best be descripted by his letters to the police, these being the only glimse of personality we have for him. I wrote a letter and performed my audition as him writing the letter to the police, i enjoyed it and am excited to see the outcome!!
