Year 2 - Term 2

November: 

6th 

Monday: 

Today we spent our time in audition mode! I had chosen my character for Peter Pan: Smee. I chose him as i have not portrayed a comical character before and i believe it will help me improve. My first thought was captain hook, due to what i believe i could bring to the character, but after giving it some thought, the old comedic silly man seems more challenging! Im excited to take this on and will do my best as always

8th 

Wednesday: 

Another audition day, however this was a first for me, as it was a singing audition day! Since i went for Smee the Pirate, i dont have a solo song for my performance, however i still participated in the captain hook auditions and lent my voice in the chorus! Experiencing the character through these small moments has given me more inspiration on where to take him! Im excited to add more to smee as i progress with him!

9th

Thursday: 

On Thursday we spent the time going through different group work, we went into the blackbox room and worked on a scene together as pirates, we developed our individual unnamed characters and gave each one of them a reason and a purpose. It was exciting to think about my character and who he was, what his mannerisms are. Afterwards we all gathered back into the dance studio and performed our scene together as a group in front of everyone.
