Year 2 - 2024 - Term 3

9th - 11th Jan 2024

Tuesday: 

Today we spent our day with tom and kelly. It was focused on our University development, the excitment for which parallels to my fear. We spent our time ticking off boxes for what we have accomplished and what we have yet to accomplish. After the full class had been gone through, we all sat and recited the questions we had come up with for our upcoming Unit 9 assignment. I had come up with a question I believe i can share a lot of insight into which was: How has the human race developed alongside the development and acceptance of film. I was advised to focus more on a specific topic, which i shall do.

Wednesday: 

Our day was spent today going through the script of the next connections 2024 play! Last years play will always hold a special place in my heart. Old Times was an amazing experience and i can only hope that this performance can hold up to it. Before reading the script, what i had heard about the play from others worried me a little with its topics and if i would be able to properly convey them. However, after going through the full script, there are a few characters that speak to me and im sure, after heavy research, I could do justice to them. 

Thursday: 

Today we used headphones and sensory deprivation to help us get a feel for the character. We had to close our eyes and just let the music take us, wether that meant dancing, singing or anything. It was a really freeing experience and i hope we do more like that in the future. Afterwards we all went off and practiced a scene from the play in groups, which we performed in front of the class. I enjoyed our rendition but feel a bit iffy on the play. I dont really see any characters that i connect with. Still. I suppose well see what comes!!
